Objective:
Students will continue to discover how the style element is applied to the body tag.
Students will apply the different elements(tags) and attributes learned in the previous font lessons on the Months Assignment
Students will discover how to add the “style” element to the document heading in order to create an embedded stylesheet.
Today:
1. Assignment #1: months.html – grading day is today
Please take out your rubric .
All assignments must be graded before you leave today.
Extra help is today or Wednesday after school if you need more time.
2.Please open Microsoft Word and search for the following definitions on the internet. Save in your html folder as “vocab”.
Look up the following words (yes, you can work with a partner):
- Embedded
- Internal
- Style
- Sheet
**LEGAL ABSENCES : have one week to make up work with no penalty – this must be on your own time!

Students will focus on font attributes with inline stylesheets.
Students will continue to discover how the style element is applied to the body tag.
Students will apply the different elements(tags) and attributes learned in the previous font lessons to complete the Months assignment.
Warm-Up:
Log in
Open template in Notepad ++ — we will discuss our first HTML project.
Procedures:
1. Create lastname-months in your html folder using the template.
Please remember to open template, change title to read “FirstName LastName – Months” — save as months
**You have until the end of class Wednesday. I will be grading on Thursday upon entrance to class. If you are done ahead of time, remember you must have your project graded (at least a 95 earned) before you can use the system for other purposes.
Know when extra help is if you need it (read your course contract).
Remember, only legal absentees have one week to make up work with no penalty – this must be on your own time!)

Students will concentrate of font attributes with inline stylesheets

1. Acronyms quiz today! (10 questions – 10 minutes)
2. Open fonts — using notepad to find fonts. Text-align property
